The Blessed Saint's Open Hands

In Psalm 119:81–88, we peer into the soul of the blessed saint and find a paradox—hands open in the dark. Though fainting, he still hopes; though afflicted, he still clings; though pleading, he still lives. This is not contradiction, but the real and rugged shape of faith for every saint who walks with God through the valley.
